Everyday we encounter people who are looking for approval from men. Approval to move forward, to be healed or delivered. Or to simply go in the manner in which the Lord leads. It is one thing to get confirmation but a whole another for approval.
The word approval means the action of approving something or the the belief that someone or something is good or acceptable.
There's is action necessary to obtain approval and it doesn't come from man. The bible tell us promotion comes from God. Psalm 75:6-7 says, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one and setteth up another. Therefore why do we struggle with doing new things that the Lord has ask of us. Mostly because we are looking for approval. People to agree with us. However, the Lord didn't tell people to approve. People confirm or affirm. Not Approve. Therefore do what He (God) told You!
Confession
The Lord has been talking to me about music for a long time. Every time I set out to begin it something time and time again interferes. First I was like Moses Lord my voice doesn't sound like other singers and when I try to go for notes you lead me other ways. How can I do this when the people like the sound a certain way. You know how God answered this heartfelt question he gave me an encounter with heavens music. The sound was so different. I had never heard so many instruments or tones. My ears were full for days. After that I began to hear music differently. This encounter happened in 2010. Since then the Lord continues to push me in this uncomfortable place. I say uncomfortable because we have been programmed music has to have instruments. You know piano, drums or organ at least. But the Lord is teaching me that our voice is a instrument. It is a instrument that carries Life straight from heaven. For he Commission your mouth before the foundation of the earth. God is not concerned with me being comfortable or even being approved by man. Instead he is looking to see if his epistle is written on my heart as I confess. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Therefore I pickup my cross higher where the people see the blood stain banner and not me and I open my mouth and sing. Not for pleasure but to War! War on behalf of my God for as I worship him the people shall prevail but if I stop they shall fail. I worship him because that is my heart posture. John 4:24 instructs that God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
This is my truth! It is new to me. Yes I been Worshipping but not like this. Completely naked just me and God and everything else fades away that other will go. Psalms 51:17 reminds us the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Thus we must allow the sacrifice to out way our emotions and approvals in order to truly be pure in heart.
I only share because the new is all around us. Embrace the new! Step out and be uncomfortable allowing the epistle of your heart to reign true that Jesus is Lord.
